Bolton CEO Emma Beaugeard has hinted at the long-awaited arrival of a new Wanderers kit after the team have worn temporary Hummel kits so far this season.
Since the start of the season, Bolton have donned a hastily thrown together temporary kit from Danish sportswear firm Hummel after Wanderers’ previous deal with Macron collapsed due to the club entering administration.
However, last night at a meeting of fans and club officials for a ‘meet the manager’ Q&A event, Bolton CEO Emma Beaugeard hinted that a new ‘proper’ kit is on the way.
The event, organised by the Bolton Wanderers Supporters Association, saw Keith Hill, David Flitcroft and Emma Beaugeard, among others, in attendance, and it was the latter who teased that a new kit is coming and will be here for Bolton’s televised game against Blackpool on Monday, October 7.

What do we know about the new kit?
Very little. It’s been rumoured for a number of weeks on social media that the kit is on its way but until now there’s been no official word from the club.
Among the online rumours were discussions about which kit manufacturer Bolton will have gone for. A number of fans seem to believe that given Wanderers’ new ownership, new management and new players that US sportswear company New Balance could be on the cards to create Bolton’s kit this year.

However, since the start of the season, Wanderers have reportedly been in discussions with Hummel, after acquiring the temporary kits that the team are wearing now, about providing a new and bespoke kit for the rest of the season.

There are certainly strong candidates for Bolton’s kit from both New Balance and Hummel already out there but we must say that we’ve grown to like Wanderers’ current Hummel strip. However, a return of the Bolton brand Reebok would no doubt send fans into overdrive.
Thankfully, we shouldn’t have too long to wait now until we finally catch a glimpse of Wanderers’ new-look kit.
With the televised game against Blackpool being on a Monday, we get the strong feeling that a Friday, October 4 release for the kit could be ideal; giving fans ample time to purchase their own over the weekend ahead of the Monday night match.
But, as ever, we will all find out in due course and hopefully whatever Bolton CEO Emma Beaugeard has up her sleeve will be a crowd-pleaser.
