The 2019/20 season drew a bit closer today with the release of next season’s fixtures.
Wanderers will be eager to put last season’s toil behind them and the early run of games could help with just that.
Bolton open the new season with an away trip to Wycombe and follow that up with the first home match of the season against Coventry City
But one thing we all want to know is just when Bolton are set to play against their local rivals?

Wanderers will have to face off against six other teams for the North West this season so there should be plenty of local away games to attend throughout the year.
Bolton will have their first-ever match against Accrington Stanley in the club’s history in the coming season.
Wanderers will travel to Accrington’s Crown Ground on November 23, 2019.
The return fixture will take place at the UniBol on February 29, 2020.
Bolton have played against Accrington Stanely once before, sort of. The match came in the FA Cup third round in 1926 but that was against the Accrington Stanley that technically folded in 1966.
Wanderers are set for their first league meeting with Blackpool since 2015 when the two clubs meet at the University of Bolton Stadium on October 5.
Bolton will travel to Bloomfield Road for the away fixture on January 4, 2020, unless either club has made it into the FA Cup third round, the fixtures of which also take place that weekend.
Meetings between Bury and Bolton Wanderers just don’t come often enough. In the last 20 years, the two clubs have met just years times.
That’s about to become six this season when the club’s meet in League One once again.
Bury travel to the UniBol on September 7 and Bolton will head the other way on April 18, 2020.
Bolton Wanderers and Fleetwood town have only ever met twice. Both of those games came in Wanderers’ 2016/17 League One campaign where the Trotters did the double over Fleetwood.
Wanderers will be hoping for the same result again when the two sides meet on November 2, at the University of Bolton Stadium.
The away fixture meanwhile, will take place on March 28, 2020.
Bolton last met Rochdale during the 2016/17 season. Away from home, Bolton fell to their second defeat of the season as Rochdale triumphed 1-0 but at home Wanderers overcame Dale in a 1-0 win of their own.
This season, Bolton will host Rochdale on October 19 and will be travelling to Spotland Stadium on January 11, 2020.
Tranmere last faced Bolton Wanderers in 2013 in the League Cup and came away as victors after winning on penalties.
Wanderers will have to be wary of the newly-promoted team when the two come together at the Prenton Park on August 17.
Tranmere will be making the reverse trip on February 1, 2020.
