Bolton Wanderers completed the signing of Brentford youngster Paris Maghoma yesterday, the midfielder has joined Ian Evatt’s squad on loan for the season and comes with an exciting reputation.
The 22-year-old joined Brentford from Tottenham Hotspur’s academy in 2022 and is yet to make an appearance for the Bees’ first team, but has excelled out on loan away from the Gtech Community Stadium.
After spending the first half of last season with AFC Wimbledon in League Two, Maghoma secured a League One switch and featured for their rivals MK Dons.
He was unable to help his new side avoid the drop but his performances caught the eye, hence his continuing upwards trajectory with Bolton the latest piece in his career puzzle.

Speaking on his new addition, Evatt shared his delight.
“He is someone we have monitored closely throughout his loans and we are delighted to have him with us,” said the Whites’ boss.
“He has got an excellent background in terms of where he has started his career and then gained really good experience last season, including a significant number of games in League One.
“He has got a bit of everything and will strengthen our midfield options and add to the competition for places going into the season.”
Maghoma made 78 appearances across Spurs’ Under-21s and Under-18s, scoring 14 goals and registering five assists before his switch across London to Brentford.
Brentford’s Maghoma view
The Bees’ director of football Phil Giles also shared his views on the move. “This is an excellent opportunity for Paris to go and play for an ambitious club,” said Giles.
“He had lots of first-team exposure with AFC Wimbledon and MK Dons last season, and we are excited to track his progress with a side that challenged for promotion to the Championship last season and will probably hope to do so again.”
