It’s no secret that Bolton are in one of the worst runs in the club’s recent history this season.
The team are without a win since September, a run that is currently spanning 12 games without a win.
After what was a promising start to the season, winning three of the first four opening games, it’s been downhill ever since.
Bolton’s form took its horrendous nose dive just as the club staved off administration (The Bolton News) by the skin of its teeth in early September and have won just one game since.
The Bolton coaching team, led by the staunch figure of Phil Parkinson have tried every trick in the book to get that elusive win. From different formations to constant squad rotation, Bolton have exhausted every conceivable line-up and have achieved only a handful of points for their efforts.
Add into the mix yet another financial fiasco, seeing the players and coaching staff go unpaid for a whole two weeks (BBC) and it’s looking like it could be a repeat of the 2015/16 season for Bolton.
With relegation looking like a real possibility at this point, if not worse, just what more can Phil Parkinson and his Bolton side do to rescue their season?
